Dairy sector prepares plan to increase exports

Representatives of the dairy sector continued discussions to boost exports of milk powder. The meeting, held at Sindilat's headquarters, was attended by the National Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA) and members of the South-Brazilian Milky Alliance. The idea is to move forward in a pilot project for the country's dairy industries to gain international market share.

At the opportunity, the consultant Welber Barral, former Secretary of Foreign Trade, presented the project CNA / Milk Alliance: Export of Milk Powder, which suggests the action that must be taken by the industries to gain market, the necessary adjustments and the ideal price to compete out there. According to Barral, in order to become competitive it is necessary to market the Brazilian product with a price 7% lower than that practiced in Oceania, for example.
