Temer discusses plan to strengthen dialogue with Argentina

President Michel Temer met this Friday (14) with Argentine Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship Jorge Faurie and Brazilian Foreign Minister Aloysio Nunes to discuss the implementation of the Brazil-Argentina Action Plan, which addresses issues related to trade, border integration and other forms of cooperation.

“We will soon sign an addendum to the double taxation agreement between Brazil and Argentina that will also include the services area. It is a very concrete agenda... the role of the chancellors, in this case, is to coordinate this management of the bilateral relationship," said Sérgio França Danese, the Brazilian ambassador to Argentina.

Danese added that the action plan will strengthen dialogue between the neighbouring nations. Also part of the meeting’s agenda was the Mercosur, whose next summit will take place on 21 July in Mendoza, Argentina, during which pro tempore presidency of the bloc will be transferred from Argentina to Brazil.
