Brazil has long been admired in the world of fashion, not only for its famous super models, but also for its unique designs and fashion brands. Building on New York’s Fashion Week, a distinguished panel has been assembled to explore Brazil’s creative contribution to the global fashion industry.

The panel will be moderated by Lilian Pacce, Brazil’s leading fashion journalist, with panelists selected to address various elements of the creative design process.

Moderator:

Lilian Pacce is Editor-in-Chief and Host of “GNT Fashion,” and Publisher of the website lilianpacce.com.br (MSN Brasil Fashion channel). She has twice been named Brazil’s ‘Best Fashion Journalist,’ while the “Business of Fashion” website includes her among the world’s 500 Most Influential Fashion Professionals.  As an author, she has written "Criadores, Grifes e Modelos" and The Bikini Made in Brazil (her latest), among other titles.

Speakers:

Franciso Costa was the Women's Creative Director for Calvin Klein from 2002 to 2016. During his tenure at CK, he won the Council of Fashion Designers America (CFDA) Award for Womenswear Designer of the Year in 2006 as well as in 2008, and the 2009 Cooper Hewitt National Design in the category of Fashion Design.  Prior to joining CK, Francisco designed for Oscar de la Renta and Gucci (under Tom Ford).

Natalie Klein founded luxury multi-brand boutique NK Store in 1997 at the tender age of 21.  The store’s meticulously curated selection singled it out from other boutiques in Brazil, establishing a name for quality and pared-back chic. The launch of Klein’s two in-house labels was met with rave reviews, garnering an elite Brazilian following for the labels' two seasonal collections.

A brief cocktail reception will follow the discussion.
