10/07/2016 WASHINGTON—Brazilian central bank President Ilan Goldfajn says the bank could begin easing his country’s monetary policy under the right conditions.

Mr. Goldfajn said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal on Thursday that he would wait to see the outcome of the government’s effort to restrain spending and monitor inflation, particularly inflation in the services sector, which is less affected by volatile commodity prices.
