Brazil great whales estimated to be worth USD $82 billion in services provided

Two whale conservation organisations, Projeto Baleia Jubarte and the Great Whale Conservancy (GWC), have released an estimate of $82 billion (USD) for the economic value of Brazil’s population of great whales.

In December 2019 the group of collaborating economists released a paper stating that the value of all great whales worldwide is approximately one trillion US dollars.
