Current Opportunities for Latin American Issuers in U.S. Capital Markets
Over the last two years, global equity capital markets have entered a lull, reflecting the lowest number of IPOs registered in the last ten years, both in the United States and in Latin America. Entering 2025, equity capital markets in the United States are receiving renewed traction, given current macroeconomic and political factors, while Latin American markets such as Brazil are still closed for new issuers, for a variety of reasons.
The Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Mattos Filho and Nasdaq, held a discussion with issuers, financial advisors, and specialized legal counsel on the current scenario of U.S. capital markets and how Latin American issuers may seize opportunities in this new cycle.
