About the event

Join the International Brazilian Opera Company (IBOC) in the West Village for a weekend of exciting new operatic works with pure voice and piano

International Brazilian Opera Company (IBOC) presents “Opera Nova: Works in Progress,” concerts featuring arias from six living composers. These works reflect contemporary sensibilities from Brazil, the USA, Romania, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, and China under the direction of artistic director João MacDowell. An Artist Q&A follows evening performances, and Saturday features a ticketed reception with an exclusive discount for Brazilian Chamber Members.

Be among the first to witness the development of the new operatic works: “Empress Matilda,” “Wild Flower,” “The Snake,” “Burying the Mountain,” “Imperfect Decisions,” and “A Bloody Sunday.” Read more at: bit.ly/IBOC_PressRelease
