We hosted a panel discussion with leading practitioners in markets of interest for Brazilian investors, owners, developers, and tenants. From Brazil, discussing conditions in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo were Daniel Battistella and Renato Almeida of Cushman & Wakefield. They discussed current valuations in commercial, industrial, and retail properties, and future expectations as influenced by the political and economic outlook. Presenting an update on the New York market was be Enoch Lawrence of Cushman & Wakefield. He discussed the key factors that are impacting NYC valuations and trends.
Moderating the panel was Claudio Stivelman, Founder and CEO of S2, a real estate development firm. Mr. Stivelman has 38 years of experience in developing high-profile commercial and residential projects along the northern coast of Miami-Dade County as well as residential buildings in Rio de Janeiro. He moderated the panel, as well as discussed his experience as a Brazilian in the Miami market.
