About the event

The Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Fundação Abrinq, was pleased to host a breakfast seminar on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Brazil: Mayors Promoting Child-Friendly Cities.”

The event was an opportunity to learn about indicators from Brazilian municipalities collected by Fundação Abrinq relating to:

  • SDG 2. Zero Hunger and Sustainable Agriculture
  • SDG 3. Health and Well-Being
  • SDG 4. Quality Education
  • SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
  • SDG 8: Decent Employment and Economic Development
  • SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities

Our knowledgeable panelists presented new approaches relating to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), including Social Credit, a tool that aims to become a global instrument for financing social projects implemented by non-profit organizations and private institutions.  Fundação Abrinq also presented the results of “Adolescence and 2030 Agenda,” research which aims to uncover the perception of adolescents in relation to SDGs.
