Summary

The American School of Brasília (EAB) - 01.2014 until now - 10 years and 2 months

Conceptualize, design and implement strategic directives for the new development and alumni relations programs and assure operational excellence; establish procedures, guidelines and models. Provide substantive and collaborative exchanges with the Head of School, Board, and Development Committee, leadership team, principals and other active school participants and stakeholders. Serve as the lead facilitator to the Development Committee of the Board of Directors: write and present reports, set agendas, identify priorities, develop the mission, vision and strategic goals. Collaborate with leaders and faculty to identify, build support, design, plan, formulate, prepare and execute plans and projects school-wide. Communicate articulately and clearly, written and orally, in three languages. Draft and manage the development budget. Craft all fundraising, development and alumni communications through research and understanding of community-wide perspectives and motivations. Act as spokesperson with a portfolio of 1600+ international constituents, embassies, businesses, government entities and NGOs. Develops and deepens inclusive and active parent/donor/school relationships. Expand the donor and alumni base; Results: 0 to 18.6% of stakeholders by the second development campaign through effective identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding; Increased alumni contact information by 175% in 2 years by creating an inclusive online alumni relations network

Brasília Super Rádio FM - 01.2005 until 12.2018 - 13 years and 11 months

Brought Broadway to Brasilia with the weekly radio broadcast: Musicais Maravilhosos which can still be heard online Saturdays at 3:00, Brasilia time via www.superfm.com.br. Through effective self-directed marketing, I had the #1 radio program for its time slot throughout the central-west of Brazil for 3 years.

Clube Internacional de Brasília - 01.2014 until 12.2015 - 1 years and 11 months

Led the 16 council members in governance and debates over the revision of the club’s constitution. Oversaw the executive board, financial and all other committees. Mediated officer election conflicts. Created the Club’s first Facebook group page.

Independent Translator - 01.2003 until 12.2014 - 11 years and 11 months

English-Portuguese-Spanish. Bridged international communication gaps dealing with classified and confidential information for the UN, WTO, UNDP, the Presidency, Federal Ministries, Congress, defense contractors, embassies, investors and businesses

Clube Internacional de Brasília - 01.2001 until 12.2006 - 5 years and 11 months

Led this club with 400 members, 90 honorary international representatives and journalists, 18 volunteer board members, 16 deliberative council members, 9 fiscal council members. Oversaw all operational aspects of this multi-faceted organization including budgets, finances, logistics, etc. PR: Increased the club´s presence in the local and international community. Coordinated with local, federal, international businesses and press leaders. Managed humans resources; recruited, trained and motivated volunteers. Fundraised with governments, corporations, and individuals. Distributed 25 community-wide grants to new and ongoing projects. Designed and executed the marketing plan. Launched CIB’s first web-site. Directed the planning and organization of 39 events in 10 months.

Managed bank accounts, expenditures, deposits, bookkeeping, etc. Crafted all communications to encourage diplomats and expats to embrace life in Brazil. Fundraised for social service projects. Distributed 10 community-wide grants to ongoing projects. Started the group’s first Facebook page.

American Women's Club International of Montevideo - 01.1997 until 12.2000 - 3 years and 11 months

Led a volunteer board of seven. Crafted all communications, PR and marketing. Directed fundraising with corporations, governments and individuals; distributed 2 major grants. Led the financial committee in the selection of investments for club funds. Coordinated the donation of playground equipment to the city through collaboration with local and federal officials. Presided over the revision of the constitution and bi-laws.
