What our members say

Lucas Sancassani

POY Fellow (2012)

I am honored to share how the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce has profoundly influenced my journey, both personally and professionally. The scholarship I received from the Chamber was crucial not only in financially supporting my studies, but also in introducing me to the most remarkable and diverse network I have ever been a part of. Within this community—encompassing lawyers, journalists, engineers, economists amongst others—I have found an unparalleled support system that has helped me grow in every aspect.

As a professional who has worked in the financial sector for almost two decades, I have greatly benefited from the Chamber’s network. More importantly, it has provided indispensable guidance for the NGO I lead as a volunteer, Amigos da Poli, which has significantly transformed higher education in Brazil. Through the Chamber, I connected with individuals who helped me elevate this project, forged lasting friendships, and brought tangible change to our country. Our organization even received the Social Entrepreneurship Award from the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce, gaining widespread visibility thanks to their ongoing support.

One of the things I value most about this community is the spirit of paying it forward. While I have been a beneficiary of the Chamber’s resources and connections, I am equally committed to supporting and guiding new fellows as they join this dynamic group. I am deeply grateful for the Chamber’s role in my life and work tirelessly to ensure that one day, a fellow from our network will be honored as Person of the Year.

Thank you for creating such a thriving, collaborative environment—one that not only empowers individuals to reach their personal and professional goals, but also enables them to make a lasting impact on society.

Amadeu Ribeiro

Chamber Board Member and Partner at DLA Piper LLP

The Chamber is at the heart of business relations between the US and Brazil. It provides invaluable resources to US companies investing in Brazil, as it does to Brazilian companies doing business in the US.

FAQ

The Chamber is an independent, not-for-profit, non-governmental membership organization. Its mission is to promote trade and investment activity between Brazil and the United States and to help develop closer ties between the business communities of both nations. It does this primarily by organizing sector-specific seminars and conferences that inform, educate, and provide networking opportunities. It supplements its programming with a website designed specifically to highlight opportunities between Brazil and the United States.
