Green Horizons (Horizontes Verdes), an initiative focused on helping governments in Brazil design and implement inclusive and sustainable economic policies, has been selected for the 2026–27 Harvard Climate Circle Accelerator.

Organized by Harvard Innovation Labs, the year-long accelerator brings together 34 ventures addressing climate challenges. Participants receive coaching, legal guidance, connections to industry leaders, and opportunities to collaborate with fellow Harvard entrepreneurs.

For Vinicius Gonzalez Bueno, a 2022 POY Fellow, the selection marks an important step in Green Horizons’ development. The initiative is conducting a volunteer pilot project with the Government of Pará and preparing to formalize as a nonprofit organization in 2027. Participation in the accelerator is expected to help strengthen its organizational structure and support fundraising efforts.

In sharing the news with BrazilCham, Bueno highlighted how his participation in the BrazilCham Young Professionals Mentorship Program helped him refine the Green Horizons initiative.
