About the event

Historic underinvestment, vast needs, and a rapidly improving business environment, place Brazil at the forefront of global infrastructure opportunities.  We organized a panel discussion updating the progress of the PPI (Investment Partnership Program) in awarding public/private concessions and partnerships to meet the country’s needs. Delivering the keynote address was the Secretary for Public Policies of the PPI, Pedro Bruno Barros de Souza.

Joining Secretary Bruno was Alexandre Pierantoni of Duff & Phelps, whose advisory work provides insights into investor considerations when analyzing the opportunities presented by the program.  He was joined by Pedro Seraphim of TozziniFreire to discuss important regulatory and legal issues under Brazilian law associated with the PPI and by Francesca Odell of Cleary Gottlieb who highlighted key cross-border issues involved in structured transactions.
