DLA Piper secured a complete defense victory on behalf of award-winning Brazilian singer-songwriter Ludmilla Oliveira da Silva, known professionally as Ludmilla, following a jury trial in Florida’s Eleventh Judicial Circuit.

Central Sonora, an international artist management company, alleged Ludmilla breached a May 2023 artistic representation and management agreement. They sought monetary damages, attorneys’ fees, and injunctive relief.

Retained on the eve of trial, DLA Piper presenting evidence that demonstrated no breach of contract had occurred. After less than one hour of deliberation, the jury returned a complete defense verdict in Ludmilla’s favor, rejecting all claims and awarding no relief to the plaintiff.
